Tuning Instructions
Model AF160 (non-DIP switch units)
STEP BY STEP GUIDE:
Remove "W3" jumper (AFC disabled).
Connect accurate volt meter to test point "W2" (tuning voltage).
Consult Table 1 below (Frequency vs. Voltage at "W2") for your desired frequency.
Tune "R104" to the proper voltage reading for your frequency
This should be the desired station.
Once the desired station has been reached, replace the AFC jumper "W3" to its "ON" position. If the voltage on "W2" varies more than 0.1 volt, adjust "R104" again.
To test accuracy of frequency setting -- unplug unit -- wait one minute -- repower. A 20 second timer will be tripped -- the unit will stablize in approximately 30 seconds.
To adjust frequency response -- use "W8 - W17" for best sound.
Adjust "R71" for maximum output without clipping into the amplifier.
Adjust "R72" to adjust 8 ohm output level.
Note: "L1, L2, & L3" have been set at the factory and no attempt should be made to adjust any inductors on this unit. If you need assistance contact Tech Support.
